Carlos Rivera

Carlos Rivera joined our office in the role of Legal Assistant in 2021 after working as an elementary school teacher in San Jose for three years, teaching fourth and fifth grade STEM. He completed his teacher training with Teach for America, a program to train individuals to teach in underserved communities. Additionally, he worked on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives at the charter school network where he was employed to create more equitable environments at the 15+ charter schools across the nation that operate under the network. At our office he is the primary contact for clients calling to schedule appointments and assists with other legal office functions.

He was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego in 2018. His hobbies include playing volleyball, binge watching sitcoms, and playing video games. In the future he looks forward to attending law school and working on projects that will advance the rights of people of color in the United States.
